Lazgen Lighting ("Lazgen Lighting," "we," "us," or "our") is a permanent outdoor lighting business serving homes and businesses in Connecticut. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit our website, request a quote, call or text us, or hire us, and how we use, share, and protect that information.
By using our website or submitting a form, you agree to this Policy. Our Terms of Service cover use of the site and our lighting services. If a written installation contract says something different about a job, that contract controls for that job.
1. Who we are
Lazgen Lighting designs and installs permanent LED lighting, holiday lighting, and commercial and municipal lighting in Southern Connecticut, including Trumbull and surrounding towns.
For privacy questions or requests, use the contact details in Section 15.
2. Information we collect
We collect information in three main ways: you give it to us, we get it automatically from your device, and (rarely) we receive it from others.
Information you provide
When you request a quote, fill out a contact form, book a consult, call, text, email, or message us on social media, we may collect:
- Name and contact details (phone number, email address)
- Property address, city, ZIP code, and other location details needed to quote or install lighting
- Project details (services you are interested in, photos you send, notes about your home or business)
- Whether you consented to texts through our chat widget
- Payment or billing details if we invoice you (processed by our payment provider; we do not store full card numbers on this website)
- Communications with us (call notes, emails, texts, and form messages)
Information collected automatically
When you visit our website, we and our service providers may collect:
- IP address, browser type, device type, and general location derived from IP
- Pages you visit, time on page, referring site, and links you click
- Marketing tags such as campaign source (for example, utm_source) that tell us how you found us
- Cookie and similar identifiers used for site function, analytics, and advertising measurement
Information from others
We may receive information from scheduling or CRM tools, review platforms, social networks if you interact with our pages, map or address lookup tools, and public sources related to a property we are quoting. We do not buy or sell lists of personal information as a business model.
Sensitive information
We do not ask for Social Security numbers, precise GPS tracking, health data, or similar sensitive data to use this website. If you choose to include extra personal details in a message, we will treat them as confidential customer information.
3. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- Respond to quote requests, schedule visits, and provide lighting design and installation
- Communicate about your project, warranties, and service
- Send marketing emails or texts if you have requested them or otherwise permitted us to do so
- Operate, secure, and improve our website and forms
- Measure advertising and understand which pages and campaigns work
- Show photos of completed work (see our Terms) unless you ask us not to feature your property
- Prevent fraud, enforce our Terms, and comply with law (including tax, licensing, and recordkeeping)
We do not use your information to make automated decisions that have a legal or similarly significant effect on you (for example, automated credit denial). Quote follow-up is handled by our team.
4. How we share information
We share information only as needed to run the business:
- Service providers. Hosting (currently Vercel), form and CRM tools (including GoHighLevel / LeadConnector tracking), email delivery, analytics, advertising tags loaded through Google Tag Manager, mapping tools, and (if used) payment processors. These parties may process data only to provide their services to us.
- Install and project partners. Subcontractors, suppliers, or helpers who need an address or job details to complete your project, under our direction.
- Professional advisors. Accountants, insurers, attorneys, or similar advisors when reasonably needed.
- Legal and safety. If required by law, court order, or to protect rights, safety, or property.
- Business transfer. If we merge, sell, or reorganize the business, customer information may transfer as part of that transaction, still subject to this Policy or a successor notice.
We do not sell your personal information for money. We also do not share it with third parties so they can market their own products to you, except through standard advertising/measurement tools described below. You can opt out of marketing from us at any time.
5. Cookies and tracking
Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use them (and similar tools such as pixels) for:
- Essential operation - remembering basic site settings and submitting forms
- Analytics - understanding traffic. We use Google Tag Manager, which can load Google Analytics or similar tools, and Vercel Web Analytics (page-view measurement on our host)
- Advertising and remarketing - measuring ads and showing relevant ads on other sites. We use the Meta Pixel (Facebook/Instagram ads) and, if enabled in Tag Manager, similar tools such as Google
- Lead tracking - connecting a form submission with our CRM so we can follow up on your quote
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some site features may not work as well if you do. Industry opt-out pages include aboutads.info and networkadvertising.org. Google provides ad settings at adssettings.google.com.
Our site does not currently respond to every "Do Not Track" browser signal in a uniform way, because there is no single industry standard. You can still use the cookie and advertising controls above and the rights in Sections 9-11.
6. Calls, texts, and email
If you give us your phone number on a quote or contact form, we may call you about that inquiry. Those forms are not SMS opt-in. To receive text messages, use the chat widget on our Text Us page and agree to the disclosure shown in the widget.
If you opt in that way, we may send appointment reminders, quote follow-ups, and project updates. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Consent to texts is not required to request a quote or buy our services.
To stop texts, reply STOP (or follow the opt-out in the message). For help, reply HELP or call us. We may still contact you by phone or email about an active job or as allowed by law.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
If you give us your email, we may send transactional messages (quote confirmations, scheduling). Promotional emails include an unsubscribe link, as required by the CAN-SPAM Act. You can also ask us to stop marketing emails using the contact details below.
7. How long we keep information
We keep information only as long as we need it for the reasons in this Policy, including providing service, warranty and workmanship records, tax and legal obligations, and resolving disputes. Quote inquiries that do not become jobs are typically kept for a limited follow-up period, then deleted or archived. Job files may be kept longer (often several years) because Connecticut contract and construction-related claims can arise after the work is done. When we no longer need information, we delete it or de-identify it when practical.
8. Security and data breaches
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate for a small service business (access limits, reputable hosting, and careful handling of customer lists). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. If a breach of personal information occurs that Connecticut law requires us to report, we will notify affected people and, where required, the Connecticut Attorney General, in the manner and time the law requires.
9. Your choices and rights
You can:
- Ask us what personal information we have about you
- Ask us to correct inaccurate information
- Ask us to delete information we no longer need to keep
- Opt out of marketing emails, texts, and (where applicable) targeted advertising cookies
- Request a copy of information you provided, in a portable format if required by law
To make a request, contact us using Section 15. We may need to verify it is you (for example, matching a phone number or address on file) before we fulfill a request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights.
We may decline a request when the law allows, for example if we must keep records for a warranty, tax, or legal claim, or if we cannot verify your identity.
10. Connecticut residents
Connecticut has a consumer privacy law (the Connecticut Data Privacy Act, or CTDPA). That law applies to businesses that meet certain size or data-sale thresholds. Whether or not those thresholds apply to us in a given year, we will honor valid consumer requests as required by applicable law.
To the extent the CTDPA applies, Connecticut consumers may have the right to:
- Confirm whether we process your personal data and access it
- Correct inaccuracies
- Delete personal data we hold
- Obtain a copy of personal data you provided, in a portable format
- Opt out of the sale of personal data, targeted advertising, or certain profiling
We do not sell personal data for money. If our advertising tools are treated as "targeted advertising" or "sharing" under state law, you may opt out by contacting us and by using the cookie/ad controls in Section 5.
If we deny a CTDPA request, you may appeal by emailing or calling us within a reasonable time and asking for a review. We will respond in writing within the time the law requires (generally 60 days). If you are not satisfied after an appeal, you may contact the Connecticut Attorney General.
We do not use or disclose sensitive personal data for the purpose of inferring characteristics about you. We do not knowingly process personal data of Connecticut consumers under 13 without required consent, and this site is not directed at children.
11. Other U.S. state rights
If you live in a state with a consumer privacy law similar to California, Virginia, Colorado, or others, you may have additional rights (access, deletion, opt-out of sale or targeted ads). Send the same type of request described above. We will apply the law that actually covers your request. If a law does not apply to a small lighting contractor of our size, we will still try to help with reasonable access, correction, deletion, and marketing opt-out requests.
12. Children
Our website and services are for adults and property owners or authorized representatives. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 where a state law sets that age). If you believe a child submitted information, contact us and we will delete it.
13. Third-party links
Our site may link to Instagram, Facebook, Google, maps, or other sites we do not control. Their privacy practices are their own. Review those policies before you share information there.
14. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change. For material changes, we may also post a notice on the website or, if we have your email, notify you. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised Policy, except where the law requires additional consent.
